This is a story from Anne Matava Story Scripts, however it has been adapted slightly for my Indonesian students.  It is being used from year 1 to year 6 this term.

Ada laki-laki.  Nama dia Troy.

Troy selalu bercakap-cakap.

Troy bercakap-cakap terus.

Troy pergi ke Victa Cinema.

John pergi ke Victa Cinema juga.

Troy bercakap-cakap terus kepada John.

John berkata ‘Diam!  Jangan bercakap-cakap!’

Tetapi Troy tidak diam.  Boss datang dan berkata ‘Keluar!’

 

Troy pergi ke perpustakaan.

Lexi pergi ke perpustakaan juga.

Troy bercakap-cakap terus kepada Lexi.

Lexi mau membaca buku.

Lexi berkata ‘Diam!  Jangan bercakap-cakap!’

Tetapi Troy tidak diam.  Ibu Wilkinson dating dan berkata ‘Keluar!’

 

Troy pergi ke doktor gigi.

Troy bercakap-cakap terus kepada doktor gigi.

Doktor gigi mau lihat gigi Troy tetapi tidak bisa karena Troy bercakap-cakap terus.

Doktor gigi berkata ‘Diam!  Jangan bercakap-cakap!’

Tetapi Troy tidak diam.  Doktor gigi berkata ‘Keluar!’

 

Troy pergi ke sekolah VHR7.

Di kelas Ibu Harvey, Troy selalu bercakap-cakap.

Ibu Harvey berkata ‘Diam!  Jangan bercakap-cakap!’

Tetapi Troy tidak diam.  Ibu Harvey berkata ‘Keluar!  Pergi ke Ibu Sharon!’

Troy bercakap-cakap terus di kelas Bahasa Indonesia.

Ibu Sharon berkata ‘Astaga!  Troy luar biasa dan pandai sekali karena bercakap-cakap bahasa Indonesia!’

 

There is a boy.  His name is Troy.

Troy always chats.

Troy chats constantly.

Troy goes to the Victa Cinema.

John goes to the Victa Cinema also.

Troy chats constantly to John.

John says ‘Quiet!  Don’t chat!’

But Troy doesn’t be quiet.

The boss comes and says ‘Go out!’

 

Troy goes to the library.

Lexi goes to the library also.

Troy chats constantly to Lexi.

Lexi wants to read a book.

Lexi says ‘Quiet!  Don’t chat!’

But Troy doesn’t be quiet.

Ibu Wilkinson comes and says ‘Go out!’

 

Troy goes to the dentist.

Troy chats constantly to the dentist.

The dentist wants to look at Troy’s teeth but can’t because Troy chats constantly.

The dentist says ‘Quiet!  Don’t chat!’

But Troy isn’t quiet.  The dentist says ‘Go out!’

 

Troy goes to the VHR7 school.

In Mrs Harvey’s class, Troy always chats.

Mrs Harvey says ‘Quiet!  Don’t chat!’

But Troy isn’t quiet.  Mrs Harvey says ‘Go out!  Go to Ibu Sharon.’

Troy chats constantly in the Indonesian class.

Ibu Sharon says ‘Gosh!  Troy is extraordinary and very clever because he is chatting in Indonesian!’
